Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Halloween has officially made its way to Walt Disney World this year in 2024 and one of the best ways to celebrate it is by attending a festive and fun event called Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event at Magic Kingdom on select nights beginning August 9.th – 31 October 2024.

Highlights of this event include:

Mickey’s Boo for You Parade: An exciting parade featuring characters and dancing ghosts from The Haunted Mansion, Disney Villains, and many of our favorite Disney characters in their Halloween costumes! This includes Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle dressed as The Sanderson Sisters, and more! Performance times are 8:15pm and 11:15pm.

Disney’s not-so-scary spectacle: A Halloween nighttime spectacular hosted by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, featuring fireworks, laser lights, and more! There is a show for this nighttime spectacular at 10 p.m.

Hocus Pocus – Spectacular Villain: An incredible show in Cinderella’s castle hosted by the Sanderson sisters. This show includes appearances by Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, Dr. Facilier and more! This show is a must-see! For events starting August 9thth until 28 Septemberth The performance times are 21:05, 22:35 and 00:00. Events on September 29th until 31 Octoberst Show times are 7:35 p.m., 9:05 p.m., 10:35 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

Trick or treat throughout the park: At the beginning of each event, guests will receive a bag of candy from which they can collect candy at multiple Trick or Treat locations throughout the Magic Kingdom. This even includes allergy-friendly fun! If you have a food allergy, simply inform a Cast Member and you will receive a different, teal bag of candy. At each Trick or Treat station, you will receive a token. At the end of Trick of Treating, you can redeem these tokens at either the Liberty Square Ticket Booth (available until 12:00 AM) or the Chamber of Commerce (available until 12:30 AM). You can play Trick or Treat at the following locations:

  • Market Street Welcome Trick or Treat (open until 8pm)
  • Tortuga Tavern
  • Tom Sawyer Island Pier
  • Gaston’s Tavern
  • Near TRON Lightcycle / Run
  • Princess Fairytale Hall
  • Monsters Inc.: Laughing Floor

And more!

Moonlight melodies: This event takes place at multiple locations in the Magic Kingdom. In Tomorrowland, guests can dance at the Disney Jr. Jam. Located in Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, the Disney Jr. Jam features characters from Disney Jr. shows. But the dancing doesn’t stop there. You can also dance in Tomorrowland at the (NEW) DecenDance Party – inspired by Descendants The Rise of Red on the Rockettower Plaza Stage. Guests heading to Frontierland can experience Cadaver Dan’s Barbershop Quartet singing and producing “dry” humor. And finally, there’s a spirited pirate band and crew that roam around Adventureland.

Attractions overlays: Some rides at Magic Kingdom have a spooky overlay with scary music, special effects, and more! Attractions that have Halloween overlays for this year’s event include Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor.

Specialty offerings throughout the Magic Kingdom: There are a wide variety of special foods, treats and drinks available throughout the park for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. See the full list here.

Party-Exclusive Goods: Apparel, drinkware, pins, Annual Passholder items, accessories, jewelry and more can only be purchased at The Emporium or Star Traders during event hours.

Halloween Meet and Greets with Characters: Guests can meet and take photos with characters like Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and many more! The characters at meet and greets will appear in their scariest outfits! TIP – With a valid ticket for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you can arrive at the party as early as 4pm and line up early to see your favorite characters if that’s a high priority on your list!

Special Photopass experience: Guests can take advantage of unique and festive photo opportunities throughout the park at their favorite attractions and with their favorite characters with a Disney Photopass photographer. Be sure to set up your My Disney Experience app and set up Magic Mobile to link tickets to the app so you can view your photos on your mobile device. There were even Halloween Photopass opportunities while waiting to see the Boo to You Parade where you could have photos taken from your parade seat which are so much fun!

Dining with table service: On select nights of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, guests can dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table or The Plaza Restaurant. Guests can also reserve their spot for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing (Price: $99 (including tax and gratuity) for guests ages 10 and older; $59 (including tax and gratuity) for guests ages 3-9) or Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party on the Tomorrowland Terrace (Price: $119 (including tax and gratuity) for guests ages 10 and older; $75 (including tax and gratuity) for guests ages 3-9). At both events, guests ages 21 and older with valid ID will enjoy incredible views of Mickey’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks display while enjoying a buffet of assorted candy, a selection of cheeses and refreshments including beer and wine.
