Katy PerryShe’s going all out—almost all—to celebrate the release of her new album…which is why she stepped out in West Hollywood in a slinky snakeskin print and made a very crowd-pleasing entrance.
Katy’s body was as much on display as her voice at Beaches Tropicana nightclub on Friday night as she and the crowd toasted in anticipation of her album ‘143’ – and although the first single ‘Women’s World’ isn’t exactly a head-turner, she ignored that on stage.
She showed off her rock-hard abs in a micro mini skirt and got the crowd going with her old hits like “Teenage Dream,” “I Kissed a Girl,” and “California Gurls.”
As we reported, Katy has also come under fire for “Lifetimes” – the second single from the album – because the Spanish government claims she shot the music video on a sheltered beach. Katy’s disputed and says it has obtained full approval from the relevant authorities.
She had all that behind her on Friday night when she captivated the WeHo crowd. We have to say… a smart move on her part to use her base in the moments that mattered.
By the way… the album title “143” is an old 90’s pager code for “I Love You”… and refers to the number of letters in each word.
The album comes out on September 20th, so we’ll see if Katy’s fans will love her 42nd album.
