Teenager attacks police officer | Federal Way police report

14 August

On that day, four vehicle thefts occurred and two vehicles were confiscated.

Assault with a knife: At approximately 9:50 p.m., police were called to the 1000 block of South 320th Street for a threat with a weapon. Upon further investigation, two victims were located and a suspect was taken into custody.

15.August

On that day, four vehicle thefts occurred and two vehicles were confiscated.

Shoplifter arrested: At around 8:20 a.m., a store employee at Target called police and said someone was walking around the store packing merchandise into a backpack. When officers arrived, the shoplifter fled on foot and was arrested by police. The merchandise was confiscated.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered: At approximately 10:35 a.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run accident in the 32000 block of Pacific Hwy. S. and found Vehicle 1 to be stolen. The suspect ran away, but witnesses directed officers to it. The suspect was then located, arrested and booked.

Car Shot At: At approximately 5:45 p.m. in the 28000 block of 25th Place S., officers were dispatched to a woman who reported that an unknown person had approached her unoccupied vehicle and shot at it. Damage to the windshield was minimal. The weapon was believed to be a shotgun or pellet gun. There were no suspects at this time.

16.August

A vehicle theft occurred and two vehicles were confiscated that day.

Explosives: At approximately 5:25 p.m., someone in the 1200 block of South 376th Street reported finding two explosive devices in their stolen vehicle. An officer responded and recovered the explosive devices. The officer did not find any additional explosive devices and the original explosive devices were disposed of.

Swallowed drugs: At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers arrested a man on several warrants in the 31000 block of 10th Ave. S. The man reported swallowing drugs and then showing signs of an opioid overdose. Officers administered Narcan to him and then transported him to the hospital. The warrants were not confirmed and he was not taken into custody.

17 August

That day, three car thefts occurred and two vehicles were confiscated.

Drive-by in another city: At approximately 2:35 p.m., officers rendered aid to Kent in the 32500 block of 5th Ave. S. when they located a blue Dodge Durango believed to be involved in a drive-by shooting that occurred several hours earlier. The vehicle was turned over to Kent for recovery.

18.August

On that day, five vehicle thefts occurred and one vehicle was confiscated.

Weapons violation: At around 8 p.m., officers responded to the 34000 block of 16th Avenue S on a suspicious person call. The reporting party said they took a firearm from a suspect.

19 August

On that day, two car thefts occurred and two vehicles were confiscated.

Man Rams Police Vehicles: At approximately 5:20 a.m., a warrant for the registered owner of the vehicle was out for assault in the 33000 block of 1st Place S. Officers stopped the vehicle. However, the suspect was not in the vehicle. As patrol cars were being mobilized, the driver in the vehicle began ramming a police car with officers on foot nearby. The driver was eventually arrested for reckless driving and driving while license suspended. A possible violation of the Uniform Firearms Act could be added later, as a firearm was found in the vehicle and the driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Attempted Burglary: At approximately 9:15 a.m., someone in the 2600 block SW 340th Place reported that someone had entered his yard and attempted to search items in front of his garage, but was then chased away by his dog.

20.08.

On that day, three vehicle thefts occurred and one vehicle was confiscated.

Juvenile Attacks Officer: At approximately 3:10 a.m., officers responded to the 31000 block of 14th Avenue SW for a call that someone was climbing onto a roof and then attempting to enter through a window using a ladder. Upon arrival, officers told the juvenile that he was being detained and to get off the ladder. The juvenile climbed down the ladder and began a foot pursuit. During the pursuit, the juvenile attacked an officer before being handcuffed.

Vehicle Arson: At approximately 3:30 a.m., several people called 911 in the 1000 block of South 320th Street to report a vehicle fire. The investigation revealed that an unknown person smashed the rear window of a vehicle and placed an incendiary device inside, causing the vehicle to burst into flames. The suspect fled in a vehicle. No suspect was found. Two vehicles were damaged in the fire.
