Senior Campaign Manager, Ebury – London

Senior Campaign Manager, Ebury – London

Can you inspire more people to read books that can improve their lives?

Ebury is the home of Penguin Random House UK’s non-fiction publishing division. We are looking for a dynamic and imaginative Senior Campaign Manager with a flair for advertising and a passion for books with a special ambition to work on some of our most inspiring and thought-provoking books.

The focus of Ebury Self’s publishing is to provide readers with unrivalled expertise and life-changing solutions in the areas of personal development, health, wellbeing, parenting and spirituality. We publish books that inform, empower and break new ground from an incredible list of inspirational authors including Gabor Maté, Brené Brown, Yung Pueblo, Kirsty Gallagher and Wim Hof.

The opportunity

This is a central role for the Self Hub campaigns team. In this role, reporting to the Self Hub Campaigns Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing targeted and innovative advertising campaigns for both our frontlist and best-selling catalogue titles.

You will independently and confidently create, manage and deliver creative and audience-focused campaigns. The successful candidate will be a key voice in our communications team, leveraging their knowledge of the advertising landscape and previous experience to produce outstanding campaigns.

You will be involved in every phase of the publishing process, from trend identification and idea generation to pitches, acquisitions and campaigns, strategy meetings, author events and much more.

They are constantly working to build the Hub’s network of influencers, media and event contacts to make our campaigns as effective as possible.

This role has a single line report.

What you bring

Perhaps you’re an experienced campaign manager looking for your next move, or a seasoned PR professional looking to work on larger campaigns and take on more responsibility for executing the strategy. It’s an exciting time to be part of Ebury, named Publisher of the Year at the British Book Awards 2024.

You don’t need to have worked in wellness publishing before, but a passion for the field is certainly important! What you do need to bring is some experience with non-fiction campaigns, or experience with buying or selling books, which means you have an eye on the market and know how a promotional campaign works in this space.

Qualities we are looking for:

  • *Several years of experience in running campaigns in a busy communications environment

  • *Ability to adapt quickly, respond to trends and adapt to the latest “moment”

  • *Ability to understand markets and analyze campaigns to continuously improve and drive a culture of learning

  • *Fascinated by the media, especially the wellness and self-improvement industry, and always looking for new ways to promote books

  • *A motivated, proactive individual who can work independently and manage multiple projects with varying lead times

  • Experience in line management or experience as a mentor, tutor and role model

  • Commitment to building strong, collaborative working relationships with authors and agents and providing the best possible author support

  • A confident and trusted partner for other internal teams, including Marketing, Editorial, Sales and International, to promote each book

How to apply

If this sounds like your next role, please apply with your CV and cover letter by midnight on Sunday, September 8th.

In your cover letter, tell us about the campaign you are most proud of in your career so far and why.
