Colman Domingo in the first look at the Netflix miniseries THE MADNESS

Netflix has announced the first images and the premiere date of the upcoming thriller series THE MADNESS with Oscar nominee Colman Domingo on November 28th. The premiere date falls on Thanksgiving in the USA.

In The Madness, media whiz Muncie Daniels (Domingo) must fight for his innocence and his life after stumbling upon a murder deep in the woods of the Poconos. As the walls close in, Muncie tries to reconnect with his estranged family – and his lost ideals – in order to survive.

Showrunners are Stephen Belber and VJ Boyd, and Clément Virgo is directing. In addition to Domingo, the cast includes Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gabrielle Graham, John Ortiz, Tamsin Topolski and TJ Mixon.

Colman Domingo has been nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA, a Tony, a Critics Choice Award, an Independent Spirit, a Gotham Award, a Lawrence Olivier Award, a Drama Desk Award, a Drama League Award, an NAACP Image Award and a Black Reel Award. He was recently seen as “Mister” in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical The Color Purple and can be seen this summer in the A24 drama Sing Sing.

Domingo is known to Broadway audiences for his acclaimed roles in The Scottsboro Boys, Passing Strange, Chicago and as the author of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. He also co-produced the Pulitzer Prize-winning and Tony-nominated Fat Ham.
