On Reddit, OnionOnion- shared an artwork they created based on Willy’s Fish Shop. This building on the docks is the home of Willy, the local fisherman in Stardew Valleyand serves as a place where players can purchase fishing items. While OnionOnion- stayed true to the original design of the iconic building, their art showed what it looked like from an isometric perspective. The new perspective added a depth not found in the game’s normal art style.

In the comments section, OnionOnion- revealed that this isometric design of Willy’s Fish Shop is part of a larger project where they are building structures in and around Pelican Town in this new style. The artist has already recreated the Yoba Shrine in Pierre’s Shop and is asking fans what they would like to see next. With more than 3.5k upvotes for the Fish Shop post in just a few hours, fans had no shortage of requests. The most popular responses included the Community Center and Wizard Tower, to name a few.


These designs by OnionOnion- show the potential of a new art style for Stardew Valley. While ConcernedApe’s original pixel art design is understandably iconic, it’s easy to imagine there will be a spin-off game based on this new art style, even if the chances of that happening are probably very slim. Regardless of whether it ever happens, the response to this new isometric artwork suggests that many fans would welcome a Stardew Valley Play in this style.
