Marvel Studios has not yet determined whether animated characters will appear in this form or with live-action actors if and when they share the screen with the heroes of Earth-616. Spider-Man: Through the Spider-VerseWe did Watch Miles Morales face a Prowler (and most agreed it worked perfectly).

Today, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park shared a very early idea for Deadpool and Wolverine and reveals that the big-mouthed mercenary was once supposed to visit the Marvel Comics universe.

“In my last post, I honored my (first) boss ((and) creator of Deadpool), Rob Liefeld. (In) this post, I’ll show you how I honored MANY comic book legends during pre-production while working on the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, before there was even a script.” explained the artist.

“I had a fun idea where Deadpool would jump through multiverses and arrive in the MCU, the Marvel COMICS universe! And each character would exist in the art style of a legendary comic book artist. Each of them inspired me a lot,” Park continued. “Can you name and identify all of these legendary artists/creators?”

That would have been amazing, and we know many of you have been hoping to see it in the Multiverse Saga. Marvel Studios could go the route of bringing the comics to life, or instead adapt the classic, colorful costumes for live-action (another idea with some appeal).

Regardless, this is one of the wildest unused concepts for Deadpool and Wolverine we’ve seen so far and there’s probably more on the way. If you noticed, Park mentions that this happened before they had a script, confirming that even then the plan was for the big-mouthed mercenary to head off into the “multiverse of madness.”
