Sabrina Carpenter just put on her makeup so beautifully.

The 25-year-old singer of “Please Please Please” appeared at diversity‘s 2024 Power of Young Hollywood party in Santa Monica, California, on Thursday, August 8. She showed up with her signature beauty look and an equally glamorous sparkling gold dress.

Carpenter was a guest of honor at the annual event alongside Marcello Hernández and Sadie Sink, and walked the red carpet in a gorgeous gown with a figure-hugging, corset-like bodice and a flowing skirt. Her ensemble also featured silver detailing.

She let her dress do the talking and kept her accessories to a minimum with just a few rings. Her blonde hair was pulled up in a loose updo with a curler and her curtain bangs framed her face perfectly.

Of course, no Sabrina Carpenter look is complete without her favorite makeup, and tonight was no exception. The former Disney Channel star glowed with neutral eye makeup, bold deep red lips, and her signature flushed cheeks.

Yellow seems to be the color of the season, as Carpenter celebrated her 25th birthday in May in a bright yellow mini dress. The look, with a plunging neckline and open back, was inspired by the dress Kate Hudson wore as Andie Anderson in How do I get rid of it in 10 days?.

Aside from the daringly shorter length, the only difference between Carpenter’s piece and Hudson’s was that the singer’s dress featured straps and sequin panels, which her stylist Jared Ellner sourced from Depop, an online shopping platform for vintage and secondhand clothing.

Ellner shared photos of Carpenter posing in the dress alongside Hudson’s Andie and rocking it with ease, writing, “Sabrina’s 25th 🥂💛 inspired by the one and only Andie Anderson.”

Carpenter, whose song “Espresso” became the pop hit of the summer and continues to storm the charts, recently admitted that there were “a lot of questions” when it came to the release of the track.

“I was the only one who wanted to release ‘Espresso’. Not so much my immediate team. But when it came to ‘the powers above,'” said the singer, who is releasing her sixth studio album, Short and sweet later this month, said in a cover story interview with diversity on August 6th.

She continued: “There was a lot of doubt in the background as to whether it made sense. But in the end they trusted me and I was glad that I believed in myself at that moment.”

Although the singer has been releasing music since her Disney days, her career has skyrocketed in recent months. Last year, she joined Taylor Swift’s hugely successful Eras Tour and wrapped up her tour with the show in March 2023. With the release of “Espresso” and her blossoming relationship with Irish actor Barry Keoghan, Carpenter has become a pop star – and style star – to keep an eye on.
