Kanye West faces massive lawsuit after sharing photos of his wife Bianca Censori

Kanye West is no stranger to legal troubles, and it looks like the rapper is facing yet another lawsuit – this time for $1.5 million.

In a copyright infringement lawsuit filed Thursday, August 8, in federal court in California by two celebrity photography companies, Ye is accused of using at least 10 photos without permission on his Instagram account and the Yeezy website.

As USA Herald As reported, BackGrid USA Inc. and its UK subsidiary Backgrid London Ltd claim that the star’s unauthorized use of the photos cost them “up to hundreds of thousands of dollars” in potential revenue.

The photos at issue in the lawsuit show West and his wife Bianca Censori. According to XXLIn one of the photos, West is seen dressed in all black walking next to Censori, who is wearing a see-through outfit and holding a purple pillow. A second shot shows West and Censori at the Nuova Arena restaurant in Milan in February, while a third shows the pair shopping at the Balenciaga store.

Most of the other lawsuits West has faced involve unauthorized sampling. According to federal court records, the rapper has been sued at least 14 times on charges of “unauthorized sampling” (the use of a copyrighted Sound recording) or interpolation (the use of a copyrighted composition)” in his music, as Billboard reported.

In 2023, the celebrity was sued by two former teachers at Donda Academy, the private, unaccredited Christian school he opened in Ventura County, California. Cecilia Hailey and her daughter Chekarey Byers West was accused of violating education, health and safety regulations, firing teachers for racist and revenge reasons, and failing to pay teachers their full wages.
