It’s normal to be curious about who saw your Snapchat story, especially if it was dedicated to someone special and you can’t wait for them to see it. But wouldn’t it be convenient if you could receive a notification when someone saw your Snapchat story instead of having to constantly refresh the app? Well, there is a way and in this guide, we’ll show you how to enable Story View notifications on Snapchat.
What are Story View Notifications on Snapchat?
Story View Notifications are an exclusive feature of Snapchat Plus. As the name suggests, notifications will be sent to you when someone views your Snapchat story. All you have to do is select the person you want to be notified. So, the next time you share a story on Snapchat, you will receive a notification when the selected person sees it.
Get notifications when someone views your story
Now that we’ve briefly talked about the feature, it’s time to show you how it works and how to set it up. Check out the steps below.
- On Snapchat, tap your Bitmoji icon top left.
- In your profile, tap the Snapchat+ Banner.
- Scroll down here and select Story View Notifications.
- Select a friend you want to enable story view notifications for. You can only select one person at a time.
- When you’re done, tap OK on the confirmation prompt.
If you want to keep things mysterious, you can Set to private Toggle. This will hide the name of the person viewing your story.
To their credit, the folks at Snapchat understand the constant curiosity of young people and implement features based on that. While I hope this feature becomes available to regular users, for now it’s exclusive to Snapchat Plus.
