Holborn Herb Growers Guild hosts annual tea party | News, Sport, Jobs

BOARDMAN – The Holborn Herb Growers Guild will host its 2024 annual tea party on Sept. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lariccia Family Community Center in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road.

Adults and children are invited to join in on the festivities planned this year, which will include herbal teas and savory and sweet treats to delight the palate. Tour the Summer Kitchen herb gardens behind the St. James Meeting Place. Guest speaker Robb Coonce, owner of Full Circle Florist, will delight guests with flower arranging demonstrations. As a souvenir of the event, each attendee will receive a free teacup and saucer. Basket raffles and a Komara Jewelers Door Prize raffle will be offered.

The Holborn Herb Growers Guild was founded in 1982 with the goal of educating its members and the public about the use and enjoyment of herbs. To that end, the Guild has established public herb gardens in the Western Reserve Village at the Canfield Fairgrounds and the Summer Kitchen Gardens in Boardman Park, and has conducted numerous educational programs and events, including scholarship awards.
