WBB account calls Quinerly and Harrison one of the best two-way guard duos in the country

Posther Hoops, a women’s basketball X-account, featured West Virginia guards JJ Quinerly and Jordan Harrison in a post.

“Perhaps one of the best and most overlooked TWO-WAY guard duos in the country is playing in Morgantown, West Virginia right now,” the post began. “JJ Quinerly and Jordan Harrison are the only two returning teammates in all of Division 1 women’s college basketball to have 90 or more steals last season. (Only 17 players in the country had 90 or more).”

Quinerly was the Mountaineers’ leading scorer last season, averaging 19.8 points per game. Harrison was second in scoring with an average of 13.5 points per game. As the team’s point guard, Harrison led the team with 5.2 assists per game, while Quinerly was second with an average of 2.7 assists per game. The two were tied with 2.7 steals per game. Harrison had the second-most rebounds per game with 4.1, and Quinerly had the third-most with 3.2. Both guards shot over 30% from the three-point line, with Quinerly having the edge at over 46% from the field.

As WVU looks to build on its NCAA Tournament appearance from last year, the guard duo is committed to maintaining its consistent play and establishing themselves as the best guard duo in the nation.
