Shaq’s Big Chicken is coming to Fort Worth
O’Neal is expecting a big first week. The first 34 customers – a nod to O’Neal’s Lakers jersey number – will get free food and drinks at Big Chicken for a year, with a limit of $10 per week. The menu includes options like The Ultimate: a macaroni and cheese sandwich with fried onions, served with crinkle-cut fries and milkshakes.

According to its website, Big Chicken currently has four locations in Texas: Austin, Houston, Richmond and a newly opened location in Lubbock. The Fort Worth location will be the first in North Texas.
Shaq’s connections to San Antonio, Texas
O’Neal played high school basketball in San Antonio after moving from New Jersey. O’Neal played at Robert C. Cole High School.
He led Cole to a 32-0 record in 1988 before losing to Liberty Hill in the regional finals his junior year.
In his senior year, Shaq averaged 30 points, 22 rebounds and nine assists and led Cole to a 36-0 record and the state championship over Clarksville with 19 points and 26 rebounds.
