Green Day announce their own coffee machine and coffee set for the 20th anniversary of “American Idiot”

Green Day have announced a unique coffee machine and coffee set to mark the 20th anniversary of “American Idiot”.

Not only did the pop-punk trio hit the road with the Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid on the “Saviors” stadium tour to celebrate the anniversary of their 2004 album, but they have now released an “American Idiot”-inspired collaboration with Keurig.

In collaboration with Punk Bunny Coffee, the coffee company the band founded in 2015, the anniversary edition will feature the iconic album artwork and retail for $159.99. As of today (August 21), however, it’s sold out, but fans can sign up to be notified when it’s back in stock.

According to Keurig’s website, the Green Day package includes “a special Keurig K-Iced Plus™ coffee maker, an iced coffee mug, twelve Punk Bunny Soundcheck K-Cup coffee pods, and access to a Spotify playlist curated by the band.”

“We’re on the road all summer celebrating 20 years of ‘American Idiot,'” said frontman Billie Joe Armstrong in a press release. “Our buses and backstages are equipped with our coffee company’s first signature coffee machine. Now we can finally announce this release and hope you love it as much as we do.”

The band has also announced an expanded 20th anniversary reissue of the classic album, featuring a new documentary and various unreleased tracks.

The upcoming box set, due out October 25, includes 15 unreleased “American Idiot” demos, a 15-track live show from 2004 recorded at Irving Plaza in New York City, nine previously unreleased live recordings (including a cover of Queen’s “We Are The Champions”) and 14 songs previously only available as B-sides and bonus tracks.

One of the Blu-rays features a brand new, 110-minute documentary entitled 20 years of American IdiotThe other CD contains the Heart like a hand grenade Film that documents “nine months with Green Day” during the recording of “American Idiot”.

The anniversary package is rounded off by new liner notes by Rob Cavallo and Rolling Stone‘s David Fricke. You can pre-order/pre-save here.
