The 47-year-old “Clueless” star filmed herself eating a piece of fruit that has since been found to be poisonous, prompting fans to express concern for the actress’s well-being.

In her TikTok video shared on Monday, Silverstone said she had “discovered something I don’t know what it is and I need your help.”

“I just bit into it because it was lying on the street and we were debating whether it was a tomato or not,” she continued, holding the piece of fruit up to the camera.

Silverstone, who is vegan, said the fruit was “definitely not” a tomato because of the leaves on the plant.

“So what the hell is this? Because when you open it, this is what it looks like,” she said, pointing to a squashed fruit on the ground before biting into the piece in her hand.

“And when I bite into it – I don’t think it’s supposed to be eaten, but it tastes almost like a pepper?” said Silverstone. “Does anyone know what it is? I need someone to tell me. I’m in England. Thanks.”

Fans quickly realized that the fruit Silverstone was eating was a Jerusalem cherry.
