Robert De Niro shows that age really is just a number.
On the occasion of the Oscar winner’s 81st birthday, his daughter Drena De Niro (56) published a series of photos and a video showing her father making a spontaneous jump from a yacht, disappearing underwater and resurfacing moments later.
In the video, Drena’s astonishment can be clearly heard after witnessing her father’s eleven-meter jump into the sea. “Oh my God, are you OK?” she asks.
“Yes, I’m fine,” Robert replies and swims casually back to the boat.
Drena couldn’t resist sharing the footage, captioning it, “Happy 81st birthday my dad and #1 keep up the good work… I love you with all my heart #BobbyD forever.”
She did not reveal where or when Robert made his daring jump.
Along with shots of her father in his funky orange and blue swim shorts, she posted a collection of photos of the actor with other family members.

In April 2023, Robert had a daughter, Gia, with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen. Today, he is the father of seven children and looks forward to the prospect of becoming a father later in life.
“It feels great because everything that’s bothering me or worrying me or this or that just disappears when I look at her,” he says.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Robert talked about the happiness that Gia brings into his life.
“She is pure joy; there is nothing about her, there is no judgement, there is nothing. She is just what she is and it is just pure joy, for heaven’s sake.”

Robert – father of Drena and Raphael (47) from his first marriage to Diahnne Abbott, twins Julian and Aaron (28) with his ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith, and Elliot (25) and Helen (12) with his ex-wife Grace Hightower – noted that his older children love spending time with Gia. “The kids all have a blast with her,” he says.
Although he had already raised half a dozen children before the birth of baby Gia, Robert openly admits that “it never gets easier.”
