How RSPKT gives creative minds in Green Bay a chance to develop

GREEN BAY – Many people believe that you have to go to big cities like New York, Chicago or Los Angeles to make it in the entertainment industry.

Adobe Bryant doesn’t believe that at all.

Bryant, the creative director of his agency RSPKT, opened the doors to the brand studio earlier this year. He plans to use the facility to give artists and content creators space to thrive and make Green Bay a new home for creatives to build their portfolio in the genre they work in.

The studio is located at 735 E, Walnut St. and includes 10 different rooms that can be used for recording music, podcasts, or even setting up live streams. It’s not just creatives who can use the space, as there are also desk spaces for people who need a place to work.

“We have a lot of tools and resources that can help people skip a lot of steps. We don’t want to be gatekeepers here,” Bryant told the Press-Gazette. “We want people to come in who have ideas, who have skills and talent, and we want to give them a platform.”

One notable space at RSPKT is a music video recording studio with a microphone hanging from the ceiling, similar to something you would see on the music performance platform COLORS. These videos have garnered over a million views on Instagram and have included Green Bay artist Charlie Urick as well as hot Milwaukee artist 414bigfrank.

RSPKT has helped with marketing for Green Bay restaurants including Crown & Common and Angelina’s Restaurant, as well as Title Town Tech. The agency has also worked with national brands such as Target and Walmart.

“I’ve worked with top talent in these larger markets and I’ve never been out of place. I believe there’s talent here,” Bryant said. “They can do the exact same thing if they just put in the effort and actually put themselves out there in the world. So if you do the right networking, make the right connections and maintain the relationships and keep a clean face, you can go to these places and come back and take that home with you, and that’s what I want to do.”

Bryant and his business partner Kaveh Barakhshan spent a year brainstorming before coming up with the idea for RSPKT. Before the agency, Bryant freelanced in graphic design before moving into video and digital media in 2016.

“You don’t really have to move away to make a difference. We’re bringing things that exist in bigger cities to small towns,” said Timothy Eddins, a business partner at RSPKT. “We really want to bring them (the creatives) to bigger cities so they can see other artists working and showing each other love. If a little bit of that comes here, the sky’s the limit.”

RSPKT is already working to expand its services nationwide, including cities like Chicago and Atlanta. Bryant is also planning an opening reception to celebrate the start of his creative agency.
