Mrs. Lula Mae McDonald Pemberton, 85, of Thomasville, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1939 in Richmond County, Rockingham, NC to Grover McDonald and Connie Mae Wall McDonald. She worked for many years at Todd’s Seafood Market and was also co-pastor of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Pemberton, her brothers Grover Cleveland McDonald, William Henry McDonald, Robert Lee McDonald and Harry Lee McDonald, and her grandson, Fred Junior Stafford.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Gwendolyn Stafford of Thomasville, her grandson Chad Pemberton of Greensboro, and her brother Fred McDonald and his wife Linda of Rockingham, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of JC Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. The Rev. James Pemberton will officiate.
