Do you want the good news or the bad news first? Let’s get to the bad news. Contrary to all speculation, John Wick: Chapter 5 Filming on The 500 won’t begin in 2025 (via Collider) or anytime soon. That’s not to say there won’t be a fifth film; it just depends on if and when franchise spearhead Chad Stahelski is ready to do it. Right now, he’s busy directing, writing, and rebooting Highlandersled by Henry Cavill. And that is just one of literally 11 films and series that Stahelski developed or produced as a director – and none of them are John Wick: Chapter 5. So if you are curious whether Chapter 4Whether the ending was a deception or not will probably only become clear after several years.
However, there is good news. John Wick presents: Ballerina will hit theaters next summer, and considering the film stars Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, and the late Lance Reddick, it will probably feel as much of a spin-off as it can get. (ballerina takes place between Chapters 3 and 4in case you are wondering how some people can stay alive). Not to mention that a television series is in the works that will cover the events of John Wick: Chapter 4which makes it a bigger crowd pleaser than The Continentalwhich generated mixed reactions at best. So that’s the thing, and even the bad news has a silver lining – Chapter 5 is delayed mainly for the right reasons.

John Wick is practically Stahelski’s baby, and he just wants to do it right. If it happens at all, Chapter 5 must come up with something very clever to end Chapter 4. Then again, the franchise has become increasingly more fantastical and absurd, although it’s still excellent, so maybe it doesn’t matter. Whatever the case, we definitely want to see more from the fascinating character Shamier Anderson. Chapter 4The Tracker, one of the few surviving supporting characters. We also love his relationship with his loyal animal friend, which is similar to that of John Wick at the beginning of the franchise. Anderson told us before the release of Chapter 4:
I also think that the puppy – who doesn’t love a dog? He’s his beacon, his North Star, and that’s why John Wick is basically back for revenge. And then in this film, I get to have my own puppy, a Belgian shepherd.

Jason Statham’s latest film, “The Beekeeper,” is an entertaining action spectacle. However, it is very reminiscent of the John Wick series.
So who knows how he will be integrated in the future? Perhaps the Tracker can become the next Baba Yaga. Wick himself seems to be finished. He had completed his mission and worked his way up the High Table to the Marquis, who took a bullet in the head. All three John Wick Sequels were big moneymakers (especially the third and fourth films), and the title character is arguably as important to Reeves’ career as The MatrixIt’s Neo, so he shouldn’t be written off. And since it would still come from Stahelski, fans can rest assured they wouldn’t be getting an installment that breaks a four-film streak. Stay tuned.
