Condé Nast appoints Elizabeth Herbst-Brady

Condé Nast has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Herbst-Brady as its new Chief Revenue Officer. The publisher says she will officially assume the role at the end of September.

Herbst-Brady has led revenue and advertising teams at media and technology brands throughout her career, including Verizon, Snap, Viacom and most recently Yahoo!, where she was Chief Revenue Officer and General Manager, Yahoo DSP, driving profitability and growth during her tenure.

As Chief Revenue Officer of Condé Nast, she will be responsible for expanding and diversifying the company’s advertising and consumer revenues, according to the publisher. In this role, these teams will be brought together for the first time in the company’s global operating structure.

During her career, Herbst-Brady has also held executive positions at Magna Global, 20th Television, Starcom Worldwide, Universal Television and Fox.

“Elizabeth is someone who has thrived in the rapidly evolving fields of media and technology. She is a perfect fit for Condé Nast and the opportunities we face,” said Roger Lynch, CEO of Condé Nast, to whom Herbst-Brady will report. “She has the vision and strength to navigate the situation and will no doubt create new opportunities for revenue growth to support the expansion of our titles so we can reach an even larger audience. We are very excited to welcome Elizabeth to our team.”

Of her appointment, Herbst-Brady added: “I am thrilled and honored to join this incredible team and be part of Condé Nast’s exciting future. I have admired many of these titles and been an avid consumer for decades, and today there is nowhere I would rather be than at the epicenter of these iconic brands that continue to shape our culture.”

Herbst-Brady holds a BA from Harvard University. She serves on the boards of the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the Ad Council, the Female Quotient, and the IAB.
