The Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their highly anticipated four-day tour of Colombia with a warm welcome from the country’s Vice President, Francia Márquez.
The couple arrived in the capital on Thursday and were greeted by Mrs Márquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo.

The visit to the South American country, which has many similarities to the program of an official royal visit abroad, is the second visit by Prince Harry and Meghan this year after their three-day visit to Nigeria at the invitation of the West African country’s Chief of General Staff.

On the road to success
The Duke and Duchess were in high spirits on day three as they learned new drumming skills at the Escuela Taller Tambores de Cabildo de la Boquilla – a local drumming school that preserves the art form of traditional African drumming.

The Duke and Duchess began their final day by participating in a panel discussion entitled “Afro Women and Power” Forum at Valle del Cauca, the municipal theater in Cali – and the two couldn’t take their eyes off each other.

At a press conference ahead of Harry and Meghan’s arrival, Ms Marquez described the Sussexes’ trip as a “very special visit” aimed at building bridges and working together to combat cyberbullying. Here, the couple made a very stylish entrance to kick off the visit.
