According to People Magazine, Madonna was staying at the Villa TreVille resort in Positano in Campania, Italy. Over the weekend, Madonna took part in the traditional Italian Ferragosto celebrations, including a stunning fireworks display over the Amalfi Coast, from the balcony of La Tagliata restaurant in Montepertuso.

According to the report, the singer’s birthday celebration also included a special dinner at the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, attended by over 30 guests.

Dinner was an exquisite affair, prepared by the renowned three-star restaurant Quattro Passi and overseen by Chef Vincenzo Castaldo of Villa TreVille. The menu was inspired by Mediterranean cuisine and the culinary traditions of the Amalfi Coast, People reported.

A source said: “Chefs Antonio and Fabrizio Mellino designed the menu to suit the singer’s preference for simple, Mediterranean-inspired dishes using locally sourced ingredients. These ingredients included organic vegetables, seafood specialties from the Sorrento peninsula, Menaica anchovies and homemade bread.”

The report added that Madonna and her relatives later visited an ancient theater in the Pompeii Archaeological Park around 10:30 p.m. They enjoyed performances by local children participating in the Sogno di Volare (Dream of Flying) project supported by Madonna. The evening also included a guided tour by park director Gabriel Zuchtriegel.
