Wisconsin star wideout Will Pauling is optimistic about the Badgers’ wide receiver talent depth in 2024.
The former Cincinnati transfer expressed his excitement to Big Ten Network during his recent segment on the Badgers.

“We have a lot of guys in our receiver room that are going to make a lot of plays for us this year,” Pauling said. “Guys like Bryson Green, big guys that can go up and make jump balls. And of course we have guys on the side like myself and a kid named Trech Kekahuna that I think is going to make a lot of noise this year.”
The up-and-coming young player continued to praise the talent of the group, focusing on those who were more of a substitute last season and are now making the step to the forefront.
“From top to bottom, I think we just have a lot of depth on our roster,” Pauling continued. “Like I said, it all goes back to that confidence. We have a lot of guys that were here last year that are only going to improve on what they did last year and do big things for us this year.”

These comments come from Wisconsin’s undisputed leader at the position. Pauling led the team in 2023 with 837 receiving yards and six touchdowns, numbers that should only increase in 2024 as the Badgers’ offense will make a significant improvement.
It’s easy to see where his feelings come from.
Wisconsin brings back him and Green, two of the team’s top options from 2023, both of whom should have bigger targets after the offseason departures of Chimere Dike and Skyler Bell, quietly forming one of the better duos in the Big Ten to start the season.
Returning contributors also include CJ Williams, Trech Kekahuna, Quincy Burroughs and Vinny Anthony – all players who are taking big steps forward after their valuable experience last season.
This group is complemented by transfer players Joseph Griffin Jr. (Boston College) and Tyrell Henry (Michigan State), two players with proven performance at the college level.
Phil Longo’s Air Raid offense utilizes a group of players as wide receivers, a stark contrast from the program’s old pro offense style, where only two or three receivers would lead the room in snaps and targets.
Wisconsin could be seven or eight players deep at that position in 2024. Pauling said the receiver room is well equipped to handle that workload.
