The Kingsport Aquatic Center is hosting a two-day Drool Party later this summer, giving dogs the opportunity to play and swim in the outdoor water park.
And to top it all off, they offer a special session just for small dogs (weighing 25 pounds or less).
“We’re excited to add a third session to the Drool Party this year, specifically geared toward small breeds like terriers, dachshunds and chihuahuas,” said Madison Gump, aquatics program coordinator. “Many people have suggested this idea over the past few years, saying that their dogs are afraid of the larger dogs, so we’re excited to be able to offer this special session just for them.”
The Drool Party will be on September 6th from 5pm to 7pm and on September 7th from 10am to 12pm. The Small Dog Session will be on September 7th from 1pm to 3pm.
Admission is $5 per dog and free for owners. A maximum of two dogs per person is allowed. The dog owner must be over 18 years old and bring a leash. Each dog must have all vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations is required for entry.
Bark Avenue and Toadally Pets are expected to be on site during the event.
Dog service providers (groomers, boarding kennels, treat shops) and food trucks interested in participating in the Drool Party should contact Madison Gump at [email protected] for more information.
