Jerzee’s Glenside is hosting a watch party for the Eagles’ season opener in Brazil on September 6th, 2 tickets for the home game will be raffled off

Jerzee’s Sports Bar & Pizzeria in Glenside is hosting a Miller Lite Watch Party for the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2024 regular season opening game on Friday, September 6.

Jerzee general manager Barry Elvidge said two tickets to the Eagles’ first home game against the Falcons on Sept. 16 will be raffled off during the Packers game.

The opening game of the season will take place at the Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil, against the Green Bay Packers. Kick-off is at 8:15 p.m.

This will be the Eagles’ second regular-season International Series game. They played in London in 2018 and played preseason games in Mexico City in 1978, London in 1989 and 1991, and Tokyo in 1993.

“This groundbreaking first international game in South America demonstrates the ongoing expansion of our global presence,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said during Super Bowl week. “The Friday night game of Week 1 is a unique opportunity to highlight our international growth and ambitions.”

“The Eagles organization is honored to be selected to play in the first-ever National Football League game in South America,” Philadelphia Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said in February when the game was announced. “As the global growth of our sport is a top priority for our league, we embrace the opportunity to grow our fan base worldwide and bring Eagles football to the 38 million sports fans in Brazil. Brazil is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world and an international melting pot. We look forward to experiencing this warm, vibrant and welcoming environment later this year.”
