Discount supermarket Lidl has announced the launch of a new travel mug that is designed to compete with the viral Stanley Cup, but costs a fraction of the price.
With Google searches for “Stanley Cup” already doubling in July, Lidl has unveiled the Décor XL Travel Tumbler, a more affordable answer to the thirsty population’s prayers. Already available in stores across the country, the mug launched on Sunday 28 July, and you can get your hands on it now.
The Lidl Décor XL Travel Tumbler provides shoppers with 880ml of cooling liquid in a familiarly shaped, stylish mug, complete with handle and removable stainless steel straw, to ensure you survive the heatwave.
Lidl’s bargain costs just £9.99, a quarter of the price of the Stanley Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler (priced £45).
The must-have is available in four summer shades, from classic black to summery mint green to calm aquamarine and lush purple. The latter color should be of interest to Olivia Rodrigo fans who were disappointed to have missed out on the singer’s limited edition.
Olivia’s Stanley has 16.2 million posts on TikTok tagged #OliviaRodrigoXStanleyCup and has been widely promoted as a highly sought-after, hard-to-get item. As some fans have done, Lidl customers have even been able to grab a few stickers and make their own limited edition version of the item.
