The 55-year-old singer of “Jenny from the Block” celebrated her birthday with the Argo Director for a star-studded night on the venue’s opening night.
In a white crop top, giant sunglasses, and enough bling to light up the arena (including a not-so-subtle “Jennifer” necklace in place of her “Ben” necklace), J-Lo was spotted giggling with Ashton Kutcher and grooving to performances by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Oh, and in case you were wondering — yes, her wedding ring was still firmly in place. She even posted photos and videos from her outing to her Instagram Story, captioning one clip “About Last Night.”
But before we point the finger at her, let’s not forget that Ben went missing from J-Lo’s own birthday party last month – so it’s no big surprise that the This is me now The actress decided to do the same.
Rumors of the couple’s alleged impending divorce have been going overtime lately. Back in May, reports confirmed that Affleck had packed up and moved out of their shared Beverly Hills home. Since then, it’s been a rollercoaster of up and down sightings. One day they’re out and about, conspicuously not wearing wedding rings, the next they’re flaunting their rings like nothing’s going on. They spend holidays (and birthdays, apparently) apart, and then suddenly they’re playing happy families with each other’s kids.
To add another layer to this confusion, People reports that Lopez made a pit stop at Affleck’s just days before his birthday. A few weeks earlier, a source told another outlet that things weren’t looking good for the couple, sharing that they “don’t have much in common and the honeymoon phase is over.”
Another insider added: “In a perfect world, Jen would love to work with Ben. It breaks her heart and she has tried very hard to make it work.”
If things go south, the two are apparently determined to keep it classy. “Behind the scenes, they’ve worked out what it’s going to look like if they pull the trigger,” a third source told Us Weekly. “Their main goal is to stay amicable.”
