EastEnders confirms baby threat as Harvey and Maya story continues

EastEnders has confirmed that baby Charli is in danger as part of the ongoing storyline involving Harvey Monroe and Maya Houssain.

Harvey recently learned that Maya’s husband Abdul is the man who was attacked and seriously injured by his son Aaron and his far-right group in a racist hate crime.

Since then, Harvey has been helping Maya with her financial worries, especially because her house was threatened with foreclosure.

In new scenes airing next week, Harvey continues to work hard to earn money for Maya, while Jean is frustrated and hurt that he is putting a job before her.

She asks why he didn’t make it home last night and Harvey says he has a lot of passengers so he gave her a ride to make more money.

Nevertheless, he wants to get back on good terms with Jean and offers to help Stacey by picking up Charli from kindergarten. However, he puts the baby in danger when he falls asleep in the hot car with Charli in the back seat.

Luckily, Jack discovers them just in time and takes them to the hospital. Harvey is distraught because he allowed this to happen.

In other EastEnders news, star Laila Rouass left the soap Ayesha Siddhu this week, sharing a farewell message on Instagram.

“Thank you for all your wonderful messages and support. I had the best time being Ayesha,” she wrote. “Enjoy today’s episode and we’ll see you on screen soon.”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One. The show is also available to stream on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes are available as early as 6am before their TV broadcast.
