SmartLynx appoints Harris Manolopoulos as Fleet Director

ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance), cargo and charter operator SmartLynx Airlines has appointed Harris Manolopoulos as its new Fleet Director. In his role, Harris will be responsible for ensuring optimal fleet utilization and efficiency and will work closely with various departments of the airline to align the fleet with SmartLynx’s strategic objectives.

With nearly twenty years of experience in the aviation industry, Harris Manolopoulos has extensive aviation expertise and a strong background in fleet management. Prior to joining SmartLynx, he was Fleet Director at Spanish airline Volotea and General Manager at Sky Express Airlines.

At SmartLynx, Harris will lead the Fleet Management department and be responsible for all aspects of SmartLynx’s passenger and cargo fleet. Currently, SmartLynx operates one of the most diverse fleets among ACMI airlines worldwide, consisting of A320, A321, A321F and Boeing 737MAX8, a total of 69 aircraft. At the end of the year, SmartLynx will add its final cargo fleet – the 14th A321P2F.
