Three decades after their father’s death, John Candy’s children pay tribute to their childhood.

On Monday, Jennifer Candy-Sullivan posted a sweet old family photo of herself with her late father and younger brother Chris Candy, posing outdoors with John.

“30 years ago today… feels like an eternity with and without you,” wrote Jennifer, 44. “I miss you and love you forever ❤️ #johncandy.”

Chris, 39, shared a snapshot of the Uncle Buck Actor in a colorful Hawaiian print shirt smiling at the camera under a ray of sunshine.

“All my love to my dad today. #johncandy,” Chris wrote in the caption.

The Canadian-born actor, who died of cardiac arrest on March 4, 1994 at the age of 43, was remembered Monday by friends and colleagues who told PEOPLE, Space balls Star was “just as nice as you would hope” to his former SCTV And Home alone Co-star Catherine O’Hara.

Chris and Jen paid their last respects to their late father last year on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of his death with photo tributes on social media.

“You will always be here ❤️ We will always miss you ❤️ We will always love you ❤️,” Jen captioned an adorable childhood photo of herself smiling in the kitchen with her dad.

“Sending my love to my dad today. 29 years ago you started a new journey,” Chris wrote in his caption alongside a snap of Candy. “I miss you and think of you often. I still think of you daily. Loss is never easy but I can optimistically say he is one of life’s best teachers.”

PEOPLE confirmed in October 2022 that the Candy family is working on a documentary about the actor and comedian’s legacy with fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds and Colin Hanks through Reynolds’ production company Maximum Effort.

“The Candy family is granting Maximum Effort access to his archives and private video footage,” a spokesperson for Reynolds told PEOPLE at the time.
