The Crape Myrtle Festival returns to John Barnes Park in Ardmore

ARDMORE, Tenn. (WAFF) – Want to explore different types of crepe myrtles and visit vendors from across the South?

You are lucky.

The 2024 Crape Myrtle Festival will return to John Barnes Park in Ardmore on Saturday. The annual festival is free to the public and parking is free.

Yolanda Eubanks, director of the Greater Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, said the event attracts thousands of merchants and visitors to the Ardmore area each year.

“We usually have three to four thousand people come through – and our dealers come from all over the Southeast,” Eubanks said. “(Some come) from Nashville and some come from the Florence area…”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a crape myrtle festival without crape myrtles, right? The chamber will be selling eight different types of trees for $25, supplied by Georgia-based Simpson Nursey.

There will be over 140 booths in the park, so bring a chair and take your time to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

All proceeds will go towards financing various city programs in cooperation with the Chamber.
