USA TODAY Florida – Network journalists Zac Anderson, Antonio Fins and John Kennedy discuss Trump’s strength in Florida.
The Florida Republican Party announced Friday that it has raised more than $13.47 million since July 1.
Add to that the announcement last weekend that the number of registered GOP voters – more than 5 million across Florida – is one million higher than the total number of people registered with the state’s Democratic Party. The GOP gains have wiped out the Democrats’ lead in Florida of 300,000 registered voters in 2018.
“These great victories are the result of hard work and popular support for our Republican leaders at every level. You can’t fake it: The money is real, and so is our grassroots support,” said party chairman Evan Power. “They understand how important it is to vote for President Donald J. Trump and all of our Republican candidates in August and November, because the American dream is at stake.”
He added: “There is too much at stake in this election and we will not rest on our laurels. RPOF will continue to make a difference and give Florida voters who want a secure border, an end to insane inflationary policies, and peace and stability at home and abroad what they want.”
