LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – WKYT is a proud sponsor of the Woodland Art Fair this weekend!
The cultural event brings people from all over the country to bluegrass.
More than 70,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s Woodland Art Fair in Lexington’s oldest park, Woodland Park!
“We have over 200 booths, over 100 are artist booths, and we have drink and food booths and entertainment and just a big art fair,” said Lexington Art League Executive Director Lori Houlihan.
The Lexington Art League and Lexington Parks and Recreation have partnered to produce this event for over 50 years.
“It really shows what a creative culture we have here,” Houlihan said. “We have so many artisans and people who appreciate handmade things and being together.”
And you can purchase handmade items all weekend long.
“There’s ornamental art for your garden, art for your walls, sun catchers, you know, just any kind of ceramics, walking sticks, brooms, just the whole spectrum,” Houlihan said.
It will surely be a weekend full of beauty and community.
“Bring your camera because you’ll want to take pictures and get ready for the time of your life,” Houlihan said.
The fair begins on Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m.
