Source reporting drama in Colorado Football locker room urged Cowboys to sign Deion

Athlon Sports, the same newspaper that Bomb report about the Colorado football team’s locker room and what Deion Sanders allows to happen there, connected the dots between Coach Prime and the Dallas Cowboys to convince the public that a connection is possible.

But that is not it. Not because Sanders promised a long-term commitment to maintain “Prime Time” in Boulderor Coach Prime’s constant claims that he is a father, not a baby daddy, and that he would not follow Shedeur and Shilo to the NFL. No.

That’s because Sanders seems stressed about the potential impact of the NFL.

“I have no desire or ambition to coach in the NFL,” Sanders said in June 2023 (h/t Buffalo wire). “I have a problem with men getting their paychecks and not doing their jobs. As a coach in the NFL, I would be too harsh because I still have those old-school attributes.”

When discussing the future of the University of Colorado Boulder after prime time, a few ground rules must be established. First, Sanders will not find another Power 4 program willing to give him the Degree of autonomy that he has at CU. Second, the NFL is probably almost certainly off the table.

With that said, it’s important to understand that all the locker room drama the program may have experienced will scare away certain types of talent. If it still continues and contributes to negative locker room camaraderie, 2024 could be another rough season. There’s no guarantee Colorado will get better in the coming years and become a great team in the Big 12.

Trying to rebuild the Buffs in his own image could eventually wear down Sanders, who isn’t as healthy as he once was, having had multiple surgeries and amputations over the past few seasons.

Coach Prime would rather retire than give up Colorado before the end of his contract. I don’t think retirement is out of the question in the next few years if things don’t improve.
