Celebrate the culture and cuisine of Central America as the final Patio de Comidas event of the year takes place on Saturday, August 25th. From noon to 6 p.m., family-friendly fun and amazing food awaits you at Riverside Park. There will be games and entertainment for the kids as well as tacos Guatemaltecos, carne asada, pupusas, granizadas and more. DJ Lorenzo, singer and guitarist Manuel Torres, singer Ashlee Soto and saxophonist Saxo-Chon will entertain you throughout the event. Try Bayou Salmon with blackened salmon, sautéed onions and peppers, andouille sausage, cherry tomatoes and roasted garlic in a Cajun cream sauce mixed with linguine noodles ($25); Fajita Ribeye with grilled ribeye steak with fajita seasoning, Spanish rice, roasted onions and peppers, creamed corn and a tequila-lime butter ($32); or Pig Bites with smoked andouille sausage, caramelized onions, bourbon apricot BBQ sauce, pineapple, cheddar jalapeño cornbread crostini and pickled jalapeños ($15).
Find the golden fork
Tuesdays are a lucky dip at Charred Oak Tavern. If you find the golden fork in your rolled up silverware, you’ll win a free appetizer or dessert valued up to $14. This special treat must be redeemed the day it’s found. Take your chance and head to 57 Center Street, Middleboro.
Taco Tuesday
Tuesdays at Max is, of course, the perfect day to eat tacos. They offer mix and match tacos for $3.75. Choose from beef, chicken, fish, coconut shrimp, and BBQ pulled pork. Make your Tuesday a little better by stopping by 405 State Road, North Dartmouth.

New burger alert
There’s nothing better than a juicy burger on a summer evening. Luckily, there’s a new burger on the menu at Olivia’s Restaurant Fairhaven. Olivia’s Angus Burger is topped with Cabot cheddar, roasted garlic aioli, “sweet” bacon and onion jam, lettuce and bread and butter pickles and is served with homemade fries for $21. Head to 1 Middle St., Fairhaven and give it a try.
