John G. Hickox, 72, of Brookville, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in Penn Highlands Dubois.
He was born on April 21, 1952 in Punxsutawney to the late John and Betty Clark Hickox.
He was a graduate of Jeff Tech and a life member of the Brookville Eagles.
On May 18, 1982, he married the former Raelene M. Kellert in Punxsutawney. She is still alive.
Before retiring in 2019, he worked in maintenance and as a sewer commissioner for the Brookville District.
He enjoyed bowling, hunting, working in his garden, and being outdoors.
Surviving are his wife Raelene (Joey Lambert), his son John, his daughter Stephanie (Josh) Anthony, his sisters-in-law Karen (Ken) Bailey, Paula Charles and Tina (Gary) Covatch, and numerous nieces and nephews.
His brothers-in-law Rich Charles and Timmy Kellert died before him.
Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements of Mr. Hickox.
According to his wishes, no church services will be held.
