BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Athletics received a $1 million donation to support the Boise State football program, Director of Athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced Thursday. The donor has asked to remain anonymous.

“On behalf of our 350+ student-athletes who benefit from every dollar raised, we thank the donor for building on our momentum and starting the new academic year with a huge investment in Bronco Athletics,” Dickey said. “We are incredibly fortunate that the entire Bronco Nation recognizes and supports our athletic programs’ pursuit of excellence, and this donation continues to move us in the right direction. Everything counts as we work hard to find ways to do more and build with even more resources from all levels of our incredible fans and alumni.”

Last fall, Dickey announced a $150 million fundraising goal for the athletics pillar of Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State University, the most ambitious philanthropic and alumni engagement campaign in the university’s history, which will run through 2028. Priorities for the athletics pillar include facility upgrades and enhanced programs to support the entire student-athlete.

This is the fourth $1 million donation Bronco Athletics has received since the public launch of Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State last fall. Since the Lyle Smith Society (LSS) was formed in 2020, the department has received 15 donations of $1 million or more from a total of 10 different individuals or families. To date, the LSS has raised more than $30 million for Boise State Athletics.
