A passenger suffered a nervous breakdown at Chicago O’Hare International Airport and, in her anger, threw a computer monitor at Frontier Airlines employees.
According to Knewz.com, the woman began groping and verbally abusing the flight crew after learning that she had missed her flight.
Footage of the incident shows the woman climbing over a baggage conveyor belt to get to the staff area and then beginning to verbally abuse Frontier Airlines staff.
When one of the employees pushed her back, the woman grabbed a computer monitor and hurled it at the airline employees, hitting one of the employees in the stomach.
The footage shows the woman grabbing another computer and slamming it on the floor.
According to Chicago police, the woman also threw a cell phone that hit a 40-year-old victim.
She also hit a 24-year-old woman in the leg, police said.
After causing the commotion, the outraged 31-year-old passenger climbed back into the seats and shouted “Idiot!” at Frontier Airlines employees.
The woman fled the scene after the incident.
Chicago police said no one was arrested in connection with the incident.
The video of the incident was recorded and shared by a fellow passenger on July 30.
The person who filmed the video clip said the outraged woman missed her flight and became enraged when flight crew refused to let her board.
Airlines are often the scene of heated arguments and outbreaks of violence. For example, earlier this month, a violent altercation occurred between a JetBlue Airlines passenger and a mother and her teenage son.
The argument broke out on the JetBlue flight from JFK International Airport in New York when one of the passengers accused the mother of further delaying the already delayed flight.
One of the flight’s passengers recorded the entire commotion and posted the video on her Instagram account, which was shared by independent Instagram news channel PPV Tahoe.
Karoll Chanel Morel, who recorded the video, told PPV Tahoe that there had already been several flight delays before the argument between the mother and a fellow passenger occurred.
As the delayed flight prepared to take off from JFK International Airport on June 23, flight attendants noticed the mother and her teenage son, each holding a toddler, and informed her that one of the children could not make the flight without being accompanied by an adult.
This caused a further delay as the aircraft had to return to the gate.
At this point, a helpful fellow passenger offered to hold one of the babies during the flight “if the mother would agree.” In the video, the man can be seen holding one of the babies when the fight broke out.
“She said yes, so they wanted to change the baby’s name and rename it to his name. As soon as the problem was solved and we were about to leave, the guy (the angry fellow passenger) started freaking out,” Morel told independent news channel Instagram.
The angry passenger, seen in the video wearing a black baseball cap and a black Adidas shirt, began yelling at the mother, calling her a “stupid bitch” and accusing her of delaying the flight.
Moments later, the individual was also observed making her teenage son the target of his vicious verbal attacks, telling both the mother and her son to “shut their damn mouths.”
