Old Forester has just announced the highly anticipated return of its most sought-after varietal, Birthday Bourbon.

This year the Bourbon 12 years old And 107 Evidence – and consumers can earn the chance to purchase this rare bottle through a national competition.

The liquid, hand-picked by Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris and Master Taster Melissa Rift with the assistance of Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo, came from 209 barrels in total.

“Twelve years of aging in Warehouses G and L have produced a rich and unique flavor profile that is perfect for this coveted annual release,” said Trigo.

Old Forester releases the limited edition vintage-dated bottle every year on September 2nd to celebrate the birthday of brand founder George Garvin Brown. (Please note: There will be NO birthday bourbon sold at the distillery on September 2nd.)

Sweeps: Buying opportunity

Fans across the country have the opportunity to take part in this year’s birthday celebrations.

Old Forester Birthday Bourbon will be available through an online sweepstakes running August 15-21, 2024 on OldForester.com. Anyone who has the opportunity to purchase a bottle as part of the competition must purchase and pick it up at the Old Forester Distillery in Louisville. between 5 September 2024 and 14 December 2024 (see official rules for all terms and conditions). The suggested retail price for each bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is $199.99. Limit one bottle per customer per credit card.

The annual edition of Birthday Bourbon is sold in retail stores nationwide.

  • Nose – A bright fruit blend with accents of apricot and apple is complemented by rich spice cake and buttercream frosting with undertones of sweet tobacco and warm oak
  • Taste good – Juicy fruits pop out on the front of the palate, toasted oak and warm cinnamon spices round off the taste.
  • Finish – A hint of caramel apple leads the finish with a long and flavorful blend of sweet tobacco, ground cinnamon and cocoa.
