Paramount Center hosts free art crawl follow-up event

(KNSI) – The Paramount Center for the Arts is hosting an exciting lineup of events as part of the Downtown Art Crawl on Friday, August 23rd.

From 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., visitors can meet the creators of the August exhibitions. Danniella Mortezaee is an Iranian-born artist from Minneapolis who uses an unorthodox process of assembling multiple canvases into one painting. You’ll find her stuff in the lobby.

The artist group “Reclaiming the Circle” is based in the gallery on West St. Germain Street. The nine artists each have a few works that focus on nature. The exhibition is called “Flora-Foliage-Field.”

Hands-on demonstrations are planned by Central Minnesota Watercolorists and the Mid Minnesota Association of Woodturners. Music will also be played throughout the Paramount building. Laura Dahl will play the violin for guests as they walk through the building.

Staff will have small snacks and drinks available for purchase. The Paramount is one of 22 venues participating in this year’s Downtown Art Crawl.
