One of the most exciting Deadpool and Wolverine cameos was that of Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and as it turns out, her costume could have been true to the comics, too.
New concept art shared online shows the heroine in an outfit that looks very similar to her comic book counterpart.
“Early on, I was given the opportunity to do an early sketch of #Elektra. It was a pleasure to be able to help design and paint this figure. This version was to show that she was in the void for a while and her costume has changed through wear and tear and repairs and adjustments,” artist John Staub wrote under the post.
Deadpool and Wolverine meet Elektra in the Void, along with Channing Tatum’s Gambit, Wesley Snipes’ Blade and Dafne Keen’s X-23. They also meet Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm, who suffers a more gruesome fate than the others…
Other concept art from the film also shows dinosaurs, Daredevil and Ghost Rider. It was also revealed that Robert Downey Jr. could have had a cameo appearance – if Doctor Doom hadn’t been cast.
“I mean, we would have loved to have Downey. But at the same time, I think Marvel has an ace up its sleeve, which is to have him come back in this other role,” co-writer Rhett Reese shared. “So, having him be Tony Stark? Knowing that Doctor Doom would follow shortly after? That just didn’t make sense.”
