It was a glamorous evening for the cast of Feud: Capote vs. the Swans in New York City last night. The stars – including Demi Moore, Calista Flockhart, Chloë Sevingy and more – attended the show’s premiere at MOMA, followed by an after-party at (where else?!) the Plaza Hotel.
The show, based on Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal and the End of an Era by Laurence Leamer, premiering next week. “It was a story about ambition, friendship and writer’s block,” says Ryan Murphy Terms and Conditions about adapting the story for television. “It was a story about how to outdo yourself and whether you can do that. And at its core, it was a story about relationships between men and women, particularly between gay men and their girlfriends. A feud is never about hate; a feud is always about pain. For the show to work, there had to be a great divide marked by heartbreak, not hate, and Babe and Truman were at the center of it.”
