Simone Biles reveals the gift her parents bought her after winning Olympic gold – one day after her birth mother begged for forgiveness

OLYMPIC heroine Simone Biles has revealed that her parents gave her a special gift for her triumph in Paris.

This revelation came after Biles’ biological mother publicly asked for forgiveness after abandoning her when she was a young child.

Biles wrote on Threads that her biological grandparents Ronald and Nellie – who adopted her at age six – bought her a special gift after another unforgettable Olympics in France.

“My parents bought me my Hermes bag,” she wrote alongside a heart emoji.

“Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents.”

Ronald and Nellie took care of the gymnast and her younger sister Adria after their mother Shanon gave them up because of her drug and alcohol addiction.

Shanon recently gave an interview to the Daily Mail and explained that she wished Simone would contact her.

“It was hard to give up my kids, but I had to do what I had to do,” Shanon said.

“I wasn’t able to take care of her. I was still a drug addict and (my father) didn’t want me to come into her life and then disappear when I wasn’t right.

“I would like to reconcile with Simone personally – I’m just waiting for her and Adria. I talk to Adria more than Simone.

“I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move on? Don’t judge me by my past. Let’s move on.

“I’m waiting for the opportunity, but I’m waiting for it to come to me. Let’s sit down together. I just have to be patient.”

Simone Biles left the club in tears and cried “immediately” after an emotional moment with her Olympic teammate Jordan Chiles

Simone was the star of U.S. sports fans around the world after winning three gold medals and one silver in Paris, including a victory in the women’s all-around.

In total, she has now won seven Olympic gold medals, these three in addition to the four she won at the 2016 Games in Rio.

Simone’s parents were in Paris to watch her compete and the gymnastics star said it was very special for them after missing the 2021 Tokyo Games due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“They missed Tokyo, so this was like the icing on the cake for them,” Simone told Today.

“Paris is such a beautiful city. And when they saw all the girls competing – and they were almost exactly the same girls as in Tokyo – they were just thrilled.

“Without my parents and the adoption, I wouldn’t be here today.”

Simone’s husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, was also in Paris to cheer her on.

And he was full of praise after Simone won the all-around competition.

“Awesomeness,” Owens posted on social media.

“You accomplish everything you set your mind to and do it with so much grace.”
