MJF reveals how he unites the AEW locker room – TJR Wrestling

MJF believes there is unity in the AEW locker room, even though he admits not many people talk to him.

During All Elite Wrestling’s five-plus year run, the company has been very successful as a wrestling company, but it has also received a lot of negative press. This negative press has been due to numerous backstage fights involving big names, as well as several individuals being suspended over the years.

While some people prefer to focus on these negative aspects, the reality is that AEW boss Tony Khan is convinced that AEW will soon make a major announcement that will be one of the “most important announcements” in AEW history.

As the longest reigning and youngest AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) has been All Elite since day one and, as holder of the AEW American Championship, is arguably the biggest star in the company.

In an interview with Wrestletalk, MJF talked about how close the relationships in the AEW locker room currently are and claimed that they are united in their hatred for him.

“I’m going to be completely transparent here. I don’t feel like I’m breaking the fourth wall here, which is why ‘things leak out.’ It’s unfortunate because 99.99999% of the time it’s not true or it’s completely exaggerated. The locker room has never been more crowded. It’s never been a better work environment. That’s based on everything I’ve been told.”

“Nobody talks to me or hangs out with me, and I like that. It seems like everyone is on the same page, not only do they hate me, but they all seem to get along. It seems like a real team effort right now, and it seems like everyone believes in All Elite Wrestling and is trying to keep All Elite Wrestling moving forward.”

MJF talks about AEW’s upcoming big announcement

As for the big announcements AEW has planned, MJF also touched on that and mentioned how successful All Elite Wrestling is as a company.

“From what I understand, we’re close to getting an answer as to whether or not Turner is going to throw a big sum of money at us. If so, then we’re dealing with the most successful professional wrestling company of all time, aside from WWE. Why isn’t that being talked about? I’ll tell you why. You don’t make money that way. I’m not implying anything.”

“I’m a star, I’m one of the biggest names in the business, that’s a fact, because I’m a bit of a lightning rod and a bit controversial. What’s controversial about you guys saying, ‘If they get that television deal, they’ll literally be the second most successful wrestling company that’s ever existed’?”

Regarding the previously mentioned backstage incidents at AEW, MJF claims his recent feud with Britt Baker was over the top. Baker was suspended over the incident, while MJF is a regular on AEW television as one of the company’s biggest stars.
