Letterwinner’s Association Gift Aid Bearkat Strength and Conditioning Training

HUNTSVILLE – The Ron Randleman Strength Center received new equipment this summer, replacing the entire inventory of dumbbells with a new and modern set to support the strength and conditioning training of Sam Houston’s student-athletes.

The set was generously funded by a contribution from the Letterwinners Association and cost a total of nearly $40,000. The equipment benefits all Bearkat sports and is a highlight of the 11,000-square-foot facility, which opened in 2006 and is named after Ron Randleman, who served as SHSU’s head coach for 23 years and as athletic director from 1984 to 1990.

“The SHSU Letterwinner’s Association is extremely proud to contribute to the improvement of our athletic program through the purchase of new dumbbells,” said Keith Heinrich, president of the Letterwinner’s Association. “This investment will not only raise training standards, but will also provide every student-athlete in all sports with the tools to reach their full potential and achieve excellence.”
