Tony and Maria find themselves caught between rival street gangs, the “American” Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world full of hate, violence and prejudice is heightened by the legendary music of Leonard Bernstein and the lyrics of Stephen Sondheim.
