CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois Athletics has announced the formation of the Investors Society, a nonprofit giving society to support the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA) at the leadership level. The newly formed group of DIA’s most generous and loyal donors will include pledges of $50,000 or more over a five-year period.
“The launch of the Investors Society marks a pivotal moment for Illinois Athletics and we are thrilled to see this initiative come to life. The Investors Society embodies our commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, philanthropy and innovation within the DIA,” said Josh Whitman, athletic director. “This valued group of donors will play a critical role in shaping our future, providing invaluable resources and support that will propel our student-athletes and teams to new heights. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment and look forward to the transformative impact their generosity will have on Illinois Athletics in the years to come.”
Investors Society members will play an active role in providing the resources necessary to enable Fighting Illini Athletics to excel now and in the future, against the backdrop of an industry that is in the most influential phase of development in its history.
Investors Society benefits include numerous opportunities to get a behind-the-scenes look and meaningful engagement with the DIA program, such as exclusive access and events with coaches, administrators and student-athletes, an Investors Retreat with administration and head coaches, donor recognition on multiple platforms, quarterly reports in addition to annual investment summaries and more.
The Investors Society name is a tribute to the elite group of Fighting Illini supporters who are committed to investing, innovating and ensuring Illinois Athletics will excel in all areas of the athletic program for years to come. The leadership of Investors Society members will be an integral part of attracting and retaining championship-caliber individuals, providing life-changing educational experiences and pursuing championships at the highest level.
