Visit the Blue Galleries for the Fall 2024 exhibitions, Drawing the sky: the artist as witness And Strange landscapes.

In collaboration with Stein Luminary, Strange landscapes is a survey exhibition of artists exploring landscapes from art schools across Australia and America, curated by Scott Elk, an MFA candidate at Boise State. The sublime, dissonant, ‘strange’ landscapes feature a range of media including drawing, painting, ceramics, textile art, clay, photography and light projection.

The Stein Luminary will feature photographic installations by Miles Jordan and Lee Emmert from August 20-30 and upon request throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Both exhibitions run until Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

A survey exhibition of artists from art institutions across the Americas and Australia exploring landscapes and environments. These artists use the artistic process as a search for connection and a form of world-making that can provide comfort when feeling out of place, when alone in unfamiliar landscapes, or when surrounded by people with differing ideological beliefs.
