The “Like A Virgin” hitmaker has her new boyfriend Akeem Morris, 28, in tow and has reportedly rented out the Teatro Grande, the 2,200-year-old amphitheater in Pompeii.

“As much as this party and trip is about her, it’s also about thanking all of her loved ones for their support and bringing them together. It’s going to be a big night.”

Around 500 high-profile guests are expected, possibly including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who are already vacationing in the area.

Rumours say that Italian Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano is also on the guest list, local media reported.

Although the event has not yet been confirmed by the venue, Italian daily La Repubblica quoted the mayor of Pompeii as saying: “We are ready to welcome the singer.” And the Queen of Pop’s Italian fan club has already posted on Facebook that it is “preparing” for her arrival.

Just over a year ago, Madonna was hospitalized after being unconscious due to what was later discovered to be a severe bacterial infection.

The singer was taken to intensive care and had to be intubated. She later revealed that she had been placed in a medically induced coma while fighting for her life despite suffering from lung and kidney failure.

Despite her near-death experience, Madonna remained defiant.

“This show every night is not really physically demanding for me.

“It’s emotionally hard for me because I’m actually telling you the story of my life,” she told the audience during her comeback to the stage.

I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’ve fallen off a lot of horses and broken a lot of bones… but nothing can stop me.’
