Texas A&M University’s Division of Global Engagement will host its annual Global Welcome Party on August 23 from 7 to 10 p.m. in Aggie Park. This free event, organized by International Student and Scholar Services, aims to welcome and celebrate the international community to Aggieland.

Attendees can look forward to music, games, dancing, prizes, performances and food. Additionally, various organizations will be on hand to share campus and community resources.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host this year’s Global Welcome Party,” said Samantha Clement, director of International Student and Scholar Services. “This event is a great way to celebrate our international community and the phenomenal resources available to them here at Texas A&M.”

Highlights of the event include a live yell exercise with the Texas A&M Yell Leaders and an address by President Mark A. Welsh III.

Other artists performing at the Global Welcome Party include the Texas A&M Singing Cadets, Aggie Wranglers and many more. During the event, there will also be opportunities to win prizes, grab free promotional items and try a variety of free foods, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Interested parties should register in advance or follow Global Engagement on social media for further details about the event.
